You also won’t find your account being passed on to a junior member of the team – we are the team!
We don’t do powerpoint presentation pitches or hand-out fancy brochures. But we do take the time to really get to know you and your business or organisation, so expect us to launch into reporter mode and ask a long list of questions from how it all began to your hopes for the future.
We then use skills learned in the newsroom to do some background digging and in-depth research before we spot the newsline and craft you a story that will attract the attention of the media and engage your customers or target audience.

Award-winning journalist Kerry Wood has 10 years’ experience working in one of the country’s busiest regional newsrooms. She has regularly broken news stories that have gone on to attract national and international coverage and huge social media exposure. Able to turn her hand to writing features, human interest stories, hard-hitting campaigns and reviews Kerry is adept at writing for any target audience. As a former media and public relations officer at a local authority, she is also experienced in stakeholder engagement, creating press releases and internal communications.
Over the last 10 years, Liz Walker has worked as a journalist on titles across the North East: The Hartlepool Mail, Evening Gazette in Middlesbrough and most recently Newcastle’s Chronicle, The Journal and Sunday Sun. Since moving into freelance PR, she has helped gain region-wide and national media coverage for a range of organisations and enjoys using her experience as a reporter and on the newsdesk to root out the best angle, speak to the right people and help them to tell a good story. She has also written features for NHS supplements, national magazines and copy for websites and newsletters.
